All prints are individually handmade to the order using some of the best materials currently available.
The first step in making a finished print is of cause printing. I use inkjet printer with archival inks and archival canvas.
Print rests for a day. This ensures that ink is completely dry.
Next the print is coated with acrylic. Here I'm ready to start the process. Acrylic is the white liquid in the cup. Special roller is used to spread it over the canvas.
Here the print has just been coated with acrylic. It is wet, soaked with acrylic. Initially acrylic has white color and softens the look of the print. By the time it dries up it becomes transparent. Covering with acrylic is important in several ways: it enhances print saturation and dynamic range, bonds ink to canvas, protects ink from UV rays and, finally, helps to keep dust off the print.
Preparing to stretch canvas. Tools and stretching bars.
Now canvas is stretched. This is how the back looks like.
Final piece hanging on a wall next to couple others.
